Game of Thrones Bullet Journal Flip Through

We may earn money or products from the companies mentioned in this post.

The month of April was full of great things making their way to us: Sunshine and Spring being only the beginning. The final season of Game of Thrones was coming after all. So obviously I had to make my monthly theme GoT inspired. Here is my Game of Thrones bullet journal flip through.

I was excited about taking on this challenge. I knew that I wouldn’t be doing much character drawing since, I’ll be honest, I’m not that talented of a drawer.

But I did take the opportunity to pick out some iconic lines and pair them with the houses of characters I love.

Planning it out

While I was writing my April Plan with me I had a few changes that I wanted to make.

The biggest was a pretty big overhaul of my trackers.

I also cut down my fitness tracker to a single page as I didn’t need the meal ideas that I was brain storming when I was changing up my nutrition plan.

Other than having the goal of making my tracking more efficient the actual planning of my spreads was so much fun.

I put together a list of my favourite characters and the houses that they were from then made a list of some of my favourite quotes. Then it was just a matter of matching them up.

Of course I ran into my typical problem of having too much that I wanted to include but better than not having enough eh?

Monthly Set up

My monthly set up was very clean.

Just including my dual calendar spread which includes goals and monthly tasks as well as a simple habit tracker.

To introduce my theme I wanted to go with the two houses that we’re immediately sided with in the story: House Stark and House Tully.

I changed the Stark words to April 14th is coming since that’s the release date of the final season of the show, then added Cersei’s iconic line

When you play the Game of Thrones, you win or you die

Cersei Lannister

I also included the Tully house words under my ryder calendar with my trout doodle.

That SHINE!

Seriously get yourself some of these markers

Trackers

My trackers were a bit different just since I failed so miserably with them in March. I put my chores tracker and my gratitude tracker on the same page and am glad to note that I did use them this month!

We all have slip ups when it comes to filling out everything in our bullet journals. That’s why it’s important to not get discouraged and to keep trying and changing things until you find something that you like and use.

Remember, you don’t have to track everything. Just start with the things that are important to you and go from there.

On the corresponding page I have my fitness tracker.

I had a space to write in macros I was aiming for and then a daily box for putting in workouts, and my actual nutrition info.

Again, since it was a focus this month, I was much better at filling it out.

In decoration I used the Martell sun and spear along with their house colours through out this spread.

Planning Pages

My planning pages have been getting little enough love recently and that is something I HAVE to change.

Planning is what I do after all.

I’ve also noticed a marked decrease in progress towards my big goals when I don’t take the time to set up an action plan that includes them month by month.

In May I AM going to plan out exactly what I want to accomplish and make sure it’s in my calendar.

I did come up with a good list of post ideas and I had some extra recruiting work this month so on the whole it was really positive in both my businesses.

But better is better right?

I had the Targaryen and Tyrell sigils on my planning spreads with great lines from Daenerys and Jamie.

Weeklies

Starting my weeklies I was super pumped about drawing the sigils and especially the quotes I was planning on using. And they turned out great!

I was originally going to be the “major” houses for the weeklies but then opted to change it up and picked characters that I found most entertaining instead.

Lannister

I started out my weeklies with this spread Lannister inspired layout.

I drew the golden lion of their house and put in one of my favourite Tyrion quotes.

A mind needs books like a sword needs a whetstone, that’s why I read so much.

Tyrion Lannister

I relate to this. I read a lot.

I liked the accents in red but wish I had spent a bit more time on the quote like I did in future spreads.

Baelish

Petyr Baelish.

Love him or hate him there is no denying he knew what he was doing and his accent was crazy lol.

Choas is a ladder indeed.

The yellow was perfect on this page and I love the way “Choas” turned out.

Mormont

Who wasn’t amused my young Lyanna Mormont or Ser Jorah? And even Jeor? Mormont was full of great characters.

*Spoiler*

And all three going out like total bad a**es. Loved it.

I loved in Season 5 Lyanna writing to Stannis that her people know no King but the King in the North, who’s name is Stark. So it had to go here.

This quote turned out perfectly. I love it. I love it right beside the Mormont bear and I love the green.

This spread is set up a bit differently since I chose to make my boxes look a bit more like banners.

Clegane

By the time that I got to the last week of the month I was so torn as to which house to feature. Originally it was going to be Baratheon but then I thought no, the only Baratheon character that I really liked was Shirin.

Arguably my favourite character in the whole story is Sandor “the Hound” Clegane. I love his arc and when you really understand his backstory and motivations (mostly in the books) there is so much complexity and beauty in his story.

Bottom line, he needed to be included.

I kept the banner-esque daily boxes and added the yellow to the top to bring it all together. The Clegane dog is at the top with the line from Septon Maribald: It’s never to late to stop hurting people and start helping them,

It’s never to late to come back

Septon Maribald

One of my favourite lines.

Finishing it up

This month turned into so much fun and really added to my excitment about seeing the final season of the series. All I have left is to get my hands on the last two books once they’re written and released!

A word on themes

I see a lot of bullet journal themes that are what I would call typical. Things like flowers and snow flakes. There is nothing wrong with that but don’t be afraid to branch out and take on a challenge or do something different just because you want to.

I haven’t really seen any other Game of Thrones themed spreads but I knew I wanted to do it so just went for it.

I hope you enjoyed my layouts and that if you choose to try this theme out that you can get some inspiration from it.

Thank you so much for reading through!
