It wasn't all sunshine and rainbows...

When I first became a parent there was a lot to do and no time to do any of it. 

Who can relate? 

I had a new baby with doctor’s appointments and parenting classes, a full time college course load and a nightly waitressing job. I needed to make money to keep my newly formed family afloat, I needed to finish my degree since I had already spent 3 years and thousands of dollars on my education, and I needed to actually be there to care my wee one too.  

There were so many times I was stressed out, tired, and I wasn’t sure if it would ever get better. 

After months of feeling like this, I knew I needed to find a way to get (and stay) on track. And I needed to do it in a way that was going to be simple to start and easy to keep up with. 

I didn’t have the luxury of “flying by the seat of my pants” any more, and I was tired of feeling over worked and frazzled all the time. I knew planning needed to be a part of my life. 

Over the next few years I experiemented and adopted different time management tools and practices until I got to a point where I could work only 3-4 hours a day on both my businesses, make a full time income and still have the time I wanted to spend with my family. 

I’ve spent the better part of a decade honing my planning skills and teaching it at a professional level. I’ve coached dozens of business professionals on the topic and spoken at conferences about how to take charge of your time and your results.
