Oh boy, do I have something special to share with you today!

I’ve loved my bullet journal since long before I even started it. Knowing that it was going to be the thing to skyrocket my productivity and give me a creative outlet was what ultimately helped me overcome the initial fear of marring all the blank dotted pages.

There is just so much to love about the system. Which brings us to this post.

I have been lucky enough to strike up some awesome conversations with some fellow bujo enthusiasts and I asked them all a question:

“What is your favourite way to use your bullet journal?”

If you love your bullet journal as much as we do, maybe you’ll find a different way to fall in love with it all over again. If you’re thinking about starting one this is a great place to start and see what the experts have to say about how it’s made an impact for them.

So without further ado, on to our favourite ways to use a bullet journal.

Jenniffer – Life is Messy and Brilliant

“I love using my bullet journal to explore my creativity. Every month I try to design something colorful and simple that will help me stay organized through the month. My bullet journal also helps me to connect with my thoughts. Whenever I feel worried or unsure about something, I write down what I have on my mind to try to find a solution.”

” I love using my bullet journal to explore my creativity. Every month I try to design something colorful and simple that will help me stay organized through the month. [This is] actually a tough question for me. I use my bullet journal for absolutely everything so it’s hard to narrow down just one favorite. I think weekly planning is probably the thing that’s had the most impact on my life. Every Sunday I make a cup of tea, find a quiet place and layout the week ahead. The first thing I do is check the weather for the coming week – It sounds silly, but when I know the weather I can predict what kind of mood I’ll be in so from there I can plan what to make for dinner each day, which leads to a shopping list, which leads to the best day to run errands, which leads to the best days to work on my blog, school events, etc. Doing this has eliminated tasks and appointments falling thru the cracks, eliminated that anxiety that crops up when you have no idea what to cook or where your time is best spent. There are so many other things I love about bullet journaling, but weekly planning has definitely been the most effective!”

Shelby – Little Coffee Fox

“I’d say my favorite way to use my bullet journal is as a way to connect me with creativity. There is no one spread or page that I like doing best, but I love making every page with a dash (or more) of creativity to keep my days fun and inspired.”

Shannon – Wellella

“I mostly use my bullet journal to rapid-log and “brain dump” blogging tasks. It really helps me prioritize the things that are actually worth my time. I used to use just one notebook for everything, but now I use different ring-bound planners so that I can keep business and personal things separate.”

Sandra Zint Wundertastisch

“For me, my personal bullet journal is a place to organize my thoughts, plan my future and document my past. It allows me to be creative without all the pressure attached to creating a perfect piece of art. Since Summer last year I switched it from a bound notebook to a Filofax and have never been happier. Now I can easily store away the layouts I currently don’t need, add new pages easily and organize it to my heart’s desire. I also created a huge printable bundle, so that everyone just starting out – or who doesn’t have the time to draw all layouts themselves – has an amazing starting off point. It comes with tons of printables and guidance, to make the whole process of starting your own planner from scratch so much easier and more enjoyable.”

“Thank you for inviting me to your blog round up! My favorite way to use my Bullet Journal is to use it’s planning functions. I really love to have control over my time and to have a plan on how I move towards my goals. My Bullet Journal is THE tool to help me with that.”

Kristen – Boho Berry

“My favorite way to use my Bullet Journal is by keeping it simple, using the method Ryder Carroll developed with very little elaboration — except for one key part. I write a gratitude list every night as a way to wrap up my day before I move on to writing the next day’s tasks. I’ve been keeping gratitude lists for years, way before Bullet Journaling, and it really helps me notice the good things in my life and appreciate them more in real time.”

“I use my bullet journal mostly for planning out my monthly task list or big projects. For daily tasks, I’ll grab a post-it note and stick it on my monitor. But to plan out my month and see what events are coming up, I use my bujo. And currently, I’m scribbling pages of notes as I’m planning out a huge product update. I flow between using my bujo as a bullet journal and a doodle journal.”

Rachael – Planning with Maggie Rae

“My favourite way to use my bullet journal is as a way to connect with the things around me. I use my journal to track my habits, projects and all the things I care about. I use it as a way to stay connected with my kids through our journal and doodle time together. My journal helps me understand what’s really important to me and allows me to spend more time focusing on that on a day to day basis.  It also allows me to connect with all these wonderful people above as well as with you!”
