We may earn money or products from the companies mentioned in this post.

Yes, it’s cleaning week here at Planning with Maggie Rae so why not follow a How to Spring Clean post with bullet journal cleaning spreads to help you along?

We could all use a couple of Spring Cleaning tips and hacks. So why not take a look at these great ideas for bullet journal cleaning spreads? Tracking your clean will make sure your house is out of hibernation all year round!

Sometimes I wish I was Cinderella, or maybe Marie Kondo. If I was I could just find the joy in tidying up. But if I’m being honest, and you can always count on me to be, I don’t like it one bit.

Although, a beautifully organized space does make me incredibly happy.

As my partner points out to me, cleaning is an essential part of being able to enjoy our home life and if I always grumble about it, the kids are likely going to grumble about it even more.

I have to set a good cleaning example!

So let’s make the most of it and remember that the ends justifies the means, at least in this case.

There are a ton of awesome bullet journal cleaning spreads out there so I found a few that show different ways to make a plan to tackle your house.

Monthly Trackers

This tracker by @abulletandsomelines is beautifully minimalist and has an outline of all the chores that need to be done. She breaks them up into daily, weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly and even includes an area of focus for anything that needs special attention.

I also like to create a monthly chores tracker which I go into detail about in this post. I like to assign one area of the house to each day of the week as well as smaller daily chores. Then after they’re done I can check them off at the same time I fill out my habit tracker.

Divide it by room

Sometimes having an overview is so helpful.

This tracker by @plansthatblossom breaks down all her cleaning tasks by room. I think this is a great additional collection to have in the front of your journal so that you can refer back to it when you’re cleaning these rooms.

But I would pair it with a monthly tracker to make sure that you have something to check off!

Similarly, this spread by Melanie @the.petite.planner is an awesome annual collection. She includes a chores master list then has a tracker with the infrequent chores so that she can see when she last did them to make sure she stays on track.

Having a place to reference rather than going through all your monthlies makes it way easier to make sure that things like changing furnace filters or water softeners get done at the right time. It’s the perfect addition to cleaning spreads.

When did I last…

On the bottom of the last spread, you could see a “when did I last” section and the below post by @seras.bullet.journal has a whole page for it.

These are perfect for those things that you know you need to do but you’re never sure when to do them.

I would add on, change beauty blender, or other makeup items since that’s always something I question!

Spring Cleaning

And of course, we all get that little kick in the spring to overhaul the whole house. This spread by Megan @pageflutter takes care of organizing everything for you.

Doesn’t she just have such beautiful spreads?

Customizing

Remember, the name of the game in bullet journaling is to make it our own.

Use these wonderful ideas as guidelines to create a spread that’s really going to serve you when you’re trying to get your cleaning in order.

Whether that’s having a yearly overview, a monthly tracker, adding your chores into your dailies or any combination of.

The important thing is that it gets done and that it makes you happy. Dare I say, it sparks joy?

And in the famous words of Cinderella’s Fairy Godmother, even miracles take a little time. So put in a little time and get those big rewards in the form of a space you’re proud of and enjoy being in.
