Why You Should Plan Your Days

It’s a totally normal state for most people to feel like they are busy ALL the time. Like there is no way to get everything that needs to get done done. It’s also very common for people to think that they do not need to write anything down since we can always remember to important stuff right?

If only that were true…. My life would have been a lot easier a lot sooner.

Then there is the thought that writing it down will take more time than if you just did it. That might be true, but if you factor in the time that you spend thinking “What is it that I came here for?” or I know there was something that I needed to do today but what was it?…” Exactly. I used to spend a lot of time thinking about what is it that I was forgetting. It was a huge stress and a huge waste of time, energy and emotion.

We all have so much going on and so many ways to get distracted. That’s why it’s necessary now more than ever to have a way to organize ourselves. It keeps us on track to reach our goals. Planning is a major part of making yourself successful in every area of our lives.

Have you’ve ever felt like you’ve been paralyzed into inaction just because you didn’t know where to start? I get it. If you’ve felt like you’re so tired from a busy day only to realize that you’ve not even come close to getting what you wanted to get done, done. I’ve felt it. If you’ve had to say, “I just don’t have the time” to something you really wanted to do, I’ve been there.

These are the reasons you need to start planning. If you want to have the time and ability to be incredibly productive, find more time in your day, energy in your body and clarity in your mind, you need to start planning.

If I could find the time to be a 3.5 GPA full time student, working 5 days a week, while being pregnant/having a newborn accompanied by doctor’s appointments, prenatal (and then parenting) classes and all that goes along with that I KNOW you can find the time to get your priorities accomplished and still have time for some fun.

You just have to start. Check out my post on picking a planner to get started
